Day 26 – Walking Tour of Krakow
Hello from Krakow, Poland!
Upon arriving in Krakow, we took a walking tour of the city. The city was very beautiful. It was similar to Warsaw, with all the really
old buildings. We walked through Old
Town Krakow.
Only part remaining of the wall that used to surround Krakow. This part was left standing in the 1800's when they tore down the rest because it blocked the wind from blowing through the city and causing women's dresses to blow and expose their ankles (which was scandalous)

Day 27 – Tour of Jewish Krakow
We took another tour of Krakow, but this time we walked
through what used to be the Jewish section.
We saw the Jewish neighborhoods and old synagogue. We went to the Jewish ghetto of Krakow and
then walked to Plaszow, which was once the concentration camp just outside Krakow. (It’s the camp in the movie Schindler’s List.) We also visited Schindler’s Factory, which is
now a museum.
"Jewish" street - none of these restaurants or hotels are actually owned by Jewish people. The restaurants aren't even Kosher. The storefronts are just kept like this because this is how it looked before WWII

Really awesome restaurant where they had us sign the walls!
