Grüsse aus München! Today we arrived in Munich, Germany after a long flight from Boston.

Just outside the Munich airport there was a set of bleacher stands set up facing a large screen - to watch the World Cup in Brazil.

From the airport we took the S Bahn (train) into the Hauptbanhof station. We are staying at the Art Hotel Munich which has a lot of interesting artwork hanging everywhere. Even the doors are all painted.

After settling in at the hotel we headed down to the Biergarten where we had the biggest and best pretzels. We passed some really architecturally pretty buildings while walking around, which we will hopefully find out more about on our tour tomorrow.
